TATOU (Tatami) Apron Dress
A special collaboration item from COCHI and TELOPLAN, brands creating tableware born from Japanese artisans and artists who carry on Japan's beauty.
The “TATOU (Tatami)” apron dress takes its name from the traditional tatami paper used for kimono storage.
Its design features an independent skirt panel overlapping at the front,
offering excellent mobility and functionality.
The drawstring-adjustable straps at the back not only allow for overall length adjustment but also create a gathered detail at the back, adding a modern accent. The deliberately thick straps help prevent upper body stains.
The fabric uses flame-retardant Modacrylic fiber. Should it come into contact with fire, it carbonizes and self-extinguishes, making it difficult for flames to spread and helping protect the body from fire hazards.
The crossed wide straps and overlapping tucks on the skirt create a silhouette reminiscent of traditional hakama-style workwear. While packed with functionality like outer pockets and a loop for hanging dishcloths, it's finished as an apron you'll want to wear for quick shopping trips or outings.
